Post by: dazmond on March 12, 2014, 08:12:46 pm
have you got a scudo/dispatch/expert van?

is it the old shape and how much did you pay for it?mileage/age etc.as im after one of these vans.i think i can pick one up for about 3/3.5 grand(05/06).

i really dont wanna spend big bucks on a van that will only do 2500-3000 miles a year.

cheers buddy :)

I got a REALLY good deal on mine its a 56 plate and had 88k on it, every other dispatch of that age on ebay at the time were all £3500+ and some had more miles!

I got mine for £1900  ;D he wanted £2250 i found it as soon as he listed on ebay nobody had bid on it so i phoned him and got him to take it off to save him ebay fees.

I had to go to Brighton on the train to get it over 100 miles and then...........

The geezer tried to chat me up!  :o  ;D

Im very pleased with it Dazmond its the enterpise model and has a payload of 815k

I have a 500L  tank in it . Its the straight 1.9D so not got alot of power but can more than cope with its work load.

cheers mate.

im looking and really im not bothered about whether its a 1.9 or a 2.0 HDI but this size van seems ideal for me.400-450L on board and all my other gear.

i was thinking about getting a 500L tank but i reckon my 350 will do with a couple of barrels if needed.i cant see me working more than 6 hours "on the glass" a day as ive had enough usually by 4pm.

for add ons i usually use custys outside taps using my 20m of extension hose.

i was thinking of spending 5 or 6 grand on a van and tank but id rather spend half that and book a holiday for me and my family! ;)
