Morning gents,
Well hopefully i will be finally on the road by Monday working by myself. Work bought, all equipment bought ready to fit straight into my van. Decided not to go with a proffesional fit as it all seems really simple to fit.
Couple of things:
Now its getting warmer and no need to wear gloves. Carbon deposits on hands what do you guys use to get it off, also do you use any form of cream to protect your hands.
Since I have beeen doing my work experience I have been using a SLX 25 however most of my work is two storey houses so I was thinking of investing in a Extreme 18, can anyone confirm wether or not there is ample length in this pole to reach most 2 storey houses.

I always wear gloves i just have a range for winter and summer.
Its no good getting dog s*** on your hose and then getting it
On your gloves... Even worse when you dont wear them.
I would always keep rags to reel hose in with so your cleaning it after every job( i spray my rag with a antibacterial spray first)
As for extreme etc. i use a clx 27ft for all my work and its fine, most people use the clx22 for everyday work.

I would go for a 22 or 30slx and just spray the pole with clear lacquer to stop carbon on your hands. The 18 does not give you any length to work over conservatories etc.

i use the blue nitrile gloves from gardiners (you can buy them from loads of places) all year round but with a winter glove over them if its really cold.
you could get an extreme 18 with a single extension to add when necessary but i would go for extreme 25 .

I use Dunlop mountain bike gloves

i dont wear gloves on hot sunny days or else ill have white hands!any moisturiser cream for your hands at night.
little nail brush if carbon on hands.
most of the time i wear nitrile liners with showa 377s over the top.

I use gardiners moisturiser and fake tan, keeps my hands really smooth

Blue gloves as already mentioned.
If weight aint an issue get an extreme 25, i use an extreme 18 and it does around 95% of my round.

As others have said, I also always work with at least Nitrile disposable gloves on as this provides protection from dirt from hoses and any carbon dust. In the winter I put a warmer pair of gloves over the top if needed.
18ft is good for most 2 storey domestic houses.

id get a extreme 25 mate.i know for sure an 18 footer would be too short on loads of my work.id be forever nipping back to the van for a longer pole wasting time.
kitchen extensions,windows above connys,velux,3 storey,windows above flat roofs etc.you wont have enough reach with a 18 footer.
