Title: What do I need?
Post by: Neil Jones on March 09, 2014, 11:03:15 am
We do a lot of pressure washing and i'm currently quoting a cladding clean. I'm going to WFP it. I have a spare 200 tank, but I also have a van mounted 1000 ibc. I have a 30ft Brodex pole that I use every now and again but at some point on this cladding it is 10-13 metres in height. Which pole is the most cost effect bearing in mind I won't be using all the time just on the odd job?

I also want to set up two pumps one for a chemical feed on a brush and one for fresh water rinse. The water doesn't need to be pure. What will I need, can anyone provide me a list of what I need i'd be very grateful.

Do I run the pumps off the van battery? How long is 200lts likely to last?

I've looked at the all in one kits from pure freedom etc but they all include RO units and tbh I don't need one. I've been wanting to set this up for cladding for a while but this job has made me do it.

Thanks in advance

Use a backpack to spray chem
Van mount for water : battery (get cheap car battery from a scrappy)£10/£15
pump (ring corwoods for cheaper shurflo) £52-£80
controller: if scrubbing with water(prob dont need a controller if just rinsing)
hose reel (just use a cheapo garden reel but with proper hose) reel:£10 hose :£50/£60
pole (your brodex will be bullet proof)

If you want a decent set up the buy a proper hose reel, and a clx27, apart from that all you need is hose and fittings
