Title: what would you charge
Post by: gwrightson on March 07, 2014, 06:47:56 pm

I priced a job today , 20,000 sq ft.

it is basically to sweep the floor and wet at same time to keep the dust down ::)roll

A concrete floor in a warehouse filled with chest freezers from supermarkets ect.  they have only recently moved in and want to get it tidied up rather urgently , To be honest I cant say I have priced just to sweep a floor so need a little guidance m bearing in mind they are looking to have around 5000,sq ft  cleaned ready for application of concrete sealer/ paint in the near future  ready to make a showroom,

A pic below  to give you a better idea

Manually sweeping it?

I'd hire something like:

Geoff, Suggest going over it with a rotary cleaner and vet/dry vac . Do a test patch and they may think twice about the other alternative , saving them alot of money and earning more yourself. Ed

Ed I did suggest the option you have mentioned ,it was considered but its just a case of a quick fix for now, they have lots of stock coming in some time next week and don't want the floor covered in dust etc .

As for hiring sit on sweeper , the thought has crossed my mind .

so any suggestions of price ?

Geoff ,  5,000 sq ft equates to 464 sq mtr .Your price works out £2.00 sq mtr with no equipment hire charge . Ed

Geoff, in that case it's 50 pence sq mtr . Sorry misunderstood your post. Just go over it with a commercial vac for that price. Ed
