Can somebody explain to me why I am getting spotting on the glass today, there is a slight breeze blowing down the street and the sun out quite warm. The TDs is on Zero soooo why??? I don't understand it i've just done four houses next door to each other and there not great tbh.

General spotting all over?
Top of glass?
Bottom of glass?
Straight line of spots?
Plastic frames?
Wooden frames?
Where is the spotting on the windows? Top lights? under top lights? main glass?

If its all over spotting you are looking at non pure water, not enough rinsing, wind or the glass will just simply spot.
You have ruled out water.
So for me it would be a combination of wind and not enough water.
-
Are you scrubbing enough from all the stormy weather we have had???
I have had to go over them all over the top so i dont get spots as all are caped in a heavy coating of dirty dust.
-
Had fans on at flow rate 60 as well forgot to say tht ????
Maybe I didn't scrub enough yeah.

I will stake my reputation on it now, it will be because they are fan jets.
I have tried and tried and tried and i can never get perfect windows with fan jets. Bloody hate em with a passion.

I stopped using them too about 2 years ago but just started using them again lately.

Wind and fan jets are leathal. Wind whips the spray about.
I have tried so hard to get on with them and can't :(

as of Monday bk on the pencils lol

I love fan jets, have not pencils for years. Can spray from a few feet away and not had problems. Have one commercial job that is cleaned every month, been doing it wfp for last 4+ years, and that generally spots. Complete ballache. Last few times i tradded it because i know what will happen. Most jobs take fine to wfp,but there will always be some that do not.
Try keeping the fans close to the glass, see if that cures the spotting. If not it may just be a ton of crap caught under the rubber seals.

I use fans, they're great!(not stating a fans vs pencils debate lol)
Keep them closer to the glass at the top of the window and then move further away when moving down the window or rinse on the glass

I like to run an obscene amour of water I'm at 70 Now. At that flow rate Fans are just spraying mist everywhere , Water beads up on the top rubber and drip drip drip..
Its 2mm Pencil jets for me.. Only use the fans now with a Cill brush when Im doing Gutters and fascias. great for doing that..
-
out of interest does anyone use larger jets than 2mm?
i use a high flow rate and find the 2mm jets splash a fair bit .
i was thinking larger jet but lower pressure.
-
We ONLY use the red fan jets - never regulated - always stay on the glass and get no problems at all. There are 1 or 2 windows however that will spot a bit anyway for some reason regardless of the water delivery method

2 x 3mm jets its horrible on a 5.1LPM shurflo on an analogue controller.
What is awesome tho is 3 x 2mm jets ;)

i found you get spotting on first cleans with fans more than pencil, have gone back to pencils
-
I use pencil jets all the time ,on first cleans I clean, rinse, clean rinse, then rinse again, one side of the house at a time starting at the top,I have not had a problem with first cleans on Upvc.
Be thorough scrub and rinse,on first clean you are investing in the future,to keep the customer and make your next visit easier.
I had one customer recently, new build very dirty, sent me a chq, thanks very much for a great job, sorry about the garden being just dirt that you had to walk on. That customer is the best advert I can have on a new estate, she will want to crow from the roof top that she has a good wc

I used to have a commercial job like this. Just three windows that constantly spotted, took about 4 years for the spots to go eventually. The prev window cleaner (who passed away) had been cleaning them for 20+ years with fairy liquid. So all that gungy fairy liquid was waiting to be re-activated every time we went over them with WFP. It must of got into the rubber seals, it sits there for years.

Has to be pencil jets for me.

It's a first having a spotting problem this bad I've had a few spotting lines here and there but this was on a different level...
I rinse close up and I rinse on the glass aswell just having to wait till Monday now...

Watering can effect. Got the analogue controller flat out and a 5.2L shurflo. Lots of water, but no real pressure as such. Just felt horrible to clean with.

cheers , i have an aqua ted pump but think specs are similar .
i suppose for the sake of 4 quid i should just try it myself . :)
-
I will be swapping the jets soon. So if you want em to try you are more than welcome.
