Title: van system
Post by: giftedk on March 04, 2014, 09:00:28 am
Hi all just a quickie.
Am thinking of converting over to a van system and working straight from tank.
Ive been using a trolley for last 3 years and fed up keep lugging it around.
Just curious to know if working straight off a van would be quicker, and if so what percentage would you say.

cheers.

Not necessarily, it depends what work you have. Last year my van broke down and Nissan gave me a hire van for the day, so I loaded some barrels in and got my days work done as fast if not a littler faster.  However some work a trolly just could't beat a van such as wall to wall glass or long runs of houses.  It is much easier though using a van set up.

Simon.

I say do it and adjust your work type to fit it.  You won't regret it.  Maybe keep portable equipment till you've fully adjusted.  If no room for trolley as well, get a backpack for the odd house.

Cheers for replies lads .Gonna take the plunge and do it this weekend me thinks,.
My back, elbows, and legs all hurt now and im sure its all due to lifting and pulling those damn trolleys around .
I was thinking I will still need to keep at least one trolley on board, but I don't want it bashing in to pump etc.
wheres the best place to get a back pack from ?

cheers .
