Title: Aworka
Post by: Moderator David@stives on March 03, 2014, 03:47:22 pm
Hello

How long does Aworka take to answer emails ? and is there a telephone number for them.

Also is there any features that are on George and are not on Aworka

when weve sent emails to aworka weve had a reply back usually within minutes but once we had to wait an hour or so but they always get back!

Do you know if they can look at your data, as it is in the cloud, can yoou encrypt it so they cannot access it ?

Drop Chris at Aworka an email and he'll call you to discuss; he's a very helpful guy.

David: Yes, I can look at your data and I understand your concern: I'm not sure how best to reassure you!  I take your privacy and security very seriously; I don't think my business would survive long if i didn't. It actually turns out to be very helpful that I can see/edit the data when providing support.

Darran: Aworka has always had a calendar, but it used to only show each job one clean ahead. I improved it a few months back so now you can see all your work for up to a year in advance. I posted a reply on the relevant thread when I released the update, but sorry if you missed it...?

I'd vouch for Chris, a very trustworthy chap, I'm sure most operations can see a lot of data, I doubt they'd work without it!

£10.00 month or £100 one off payment per year. I prefer it to George. Access via my mobile so no need to print off worksheets.

Hi David

My background is all software development. I used to work mostly on large infrastructure software projects, including air traffic management and rail and underground ticketing systems.

I had the idea for Aworka when a friend of mine bought a window cleaning round and was struggling to manage with spreadsheets, and I thought I could help him. At the same time, I was starting to get tired of the hustle and bustle of the south east, so I thought setting up an internet based business could allow me to escape the rat race.

A couple of years ago, I finally managed to sell up and move to Cornwall and Aworka has kept me busy ever since.

Let me know if you want to know anything else about me!

Chris.

Another Cleaner Planner fan here Dave, its very very close to release now, we are using it and were previous WCP fans, it is cloud based, it really is VERY VERY good - robs email is rob@cleanerplanner.com  Iam sure he woudl be happy to answer any questions - and I sure he would set you up on CP so you can have a play with it, he can import WCP data too. If you want to ask me any questions drop me a note via the website -
Mrs Smudger.

Hi David, all,

Rob here - developer of Cleaner Planner.

Just to say - after 6 months of testing and tweaking (with the help of my brilliant beta testers) CP is stable, polished and really close to launch now :)

If you're curious about the new features it brings to the table I'd be very happy to set you up a beta account in the meantime - just give me a shout.

rob@cleanerplanner.com

Cheers,

Rob

We have been using aworka (4 rounds) for about a year now and could not recommend it highly enough. Customer service is always quick and to the point. The only reason I have ever contacted Chris is to ask if new features could be added, and usually they are. I would not even dream of looking anywhere else as for £10 per month it just gets written off :)

I use iphone all day just ticking jobs off, and sync at the end of the day - no paperwork, no printing, no adding or subtracting.

When adding new work or rearranging days we all use iPads and the desktop version which has a very handy calendar view. In all honesty I couldn't think of many ways to improve it

Hi Robert

The data is backed up in the cloud, if you want a local version then you can export it as an excel/csv file, it's not the nicest layout but useable, this is something Chris plans to improve, not sure where it is on the list though!

Hope it helps.

John

How do you use it with your i phone ? i thought the aworka doesn't work with IOS ?

I use it on my Iphone 4s but i use the full version as i prefer it so you need to type in www.full.aworka.com it it works great . I like how on the Iphone if i am scrolling through my debt list and custy needs a payment reminder i just tap on their email address and i can email them an invoice . Mike

Rob is just working on a couple of new really good features on cleaner planner
Some automated, integrated emailing and collecting payments that really leaves the likes of WCP behind.

If you like WCP  you will love cleaner planner

In Jobs, next to New Customer is the Export option, it will export as per the filter settings, you can do the same with the Expenses.

It's not the neatest system, hopefully Chris will sort a streamlined version sometime in the future.

John

Could I use it without you seeing my data ?
Title: Re: Aworka
Post by: johnwillan on March 11, 2014, 09:43:43 am
Of course, it's the same as any online account, only the account holder (you) and in most cases the company you are dealing with can see your data.

It's a top down system so in my case (an aworka user) each operator can "only" see their information but I can see them all.

I suggest you give it a go, you won't be dissapointed.
