 100psi diaphragm ... probably shurflo

This is very good deal while it lasts ... flojet

Probably could repair it depending on whats wrong ... check the brass connector too for blockage .

I would definitely take the brass connector off and then try running it as i've had a couple of solution hoses from there and the brass connectors have all failed stopping the water coming out.

Is the pump making any noise when you switch it on?
Do you have to prime the pump with a priming hose to get rid of air?

the machine worked for about 15 minutes before stopping, i did turn pump off and there was not the usual noise when i turned it back on so i think i will check the connectors next to see if that is the problem. thank you for the help.

if its not blocked  ... and no noise at all  , i would look at the demand switch on the front of the pump next  , can be bypassed pretty easily .

and perhaps check that its not just a straight forward connection or on/off switch fault .

I had one of these machines, the flojet pump is a demand type and the switch at the front of the pump packs up quite friequiently ! You can get sround this by shorting it out, then the pump just runs continually

1.  Clogged spray jet on tool would stop the pump.

2.  Make sure particular QD's are compatible. The copies coming in from China will not match up properly with the American made ones (internal pins).

Hope this helps; ;)

BTW, one correction here:

Specifically, That machine isn't a Mytee. Rather, it is a "MITEY-ONE".

Cross-American first introduced the Mitey-One around 1982. Years and years later, it was apparent that one our competitor "borrowed" that name spelling it slightly different perhaps to avoid any repercussions'.

I call this to your attention for no other reason than it will be important when researching and/or replacing components within.

Ed are you saying that that the company Mytee saw your little portable machine back in the 70s and where so impressed they decided to ' borrow' (steal) the name and use it,

I might be wrong but didn't Mytee start in the 70s,  like you said you started making the mitey one in the 80s, did Mytee also have a sideline making time machines :) ;)

Mike I think you will find that Mytee became around 1990 building machines through the nineties, they bought out another company.

Think we can give Ed Kudos for this one.  :) ;)

I was'nt going to bother but.....

Ed as you have chipped in could you answer my previous question,  do you really believe mitee named thier company after your little machine (as you suggest in your. Earlier post) ?

They started building machines in the 70s, The history of mitee...

Mick,

The "mytee" company was not in existence in the 70s.

Now I am not here to start a ruckus because I only see that as a waste of time. However, we all know many many examples of (any) companies taking whatever they can in order to get the attention of their respective audience. Further, many companies will also see it easier to "borrow, copy, or take" from their competion. I am sure many of you in perhaps in a similar or smaller way have had this happen to you too.

That's all that is worth saying because other than making my clarification above regarding the correction of a cross american product name in an effort to help the user acquire  the proper result, enough said, don't you think?

Best to all and thanks for asking,
Ed Valentine
