Title: Pole maintainence spray
Post by: mufcglen on February 28, 2014, 08:33:34 pm: Gonna strip my pole this weekend and clean it down, was gonna use my gt85 spray but read in the leaflet from gardiners not to use this or wd40 so what's best to use and why can't I use these?

One of the poles is a little stiff so just wanted to give em all a spray down keep on top of em!

Wash the poles, dry them apply polish and buff.hey presto you have smooth operating poles again that last 2 weeks before going stiff again. Also they become eseir to clean.

I've been using this stuff. Does the job well. Think I paid about £5 or £6 for 2 cans.

Post by: Pro-Poler on March 01, 2014, 08:20:56 am: I'd say car cockpit spray would be good, but just ordered some Ceramic wet lube from Ribble cycles, it's on offer at the moment with free delivery £3.80 I think? If you want to re-laquer a pole you need ordinary auto clear laquer but just a couple of very thin coats or you won't close the pole, just refurbed a very worn clx.
