Mine does sometimes, i think it because its trying to work out if enough power is spare.

I have an intelligent one.

Some times when i have lights,heater,radio,etc etc it constantly makes a noise. Switch off something like lights and it stops.

Could be wrong tho

The only times I had constant clicking from the split relay was when the wire started coming loose, check the connections

My relay is so smart it has a IQ of 140. ;D ;D ;D ;D
