Title: Thick heavy grease

Hi I'm new to the forum and hoping to help people out with the knowledge I know of cleaning and looking for help myself :)
One problem I have at the minute is I came a cross some heavy thick grease on some wooden kitchen cupboards which I found very difficult to get off and clean! I used ubik but would not cut through it and I had to be careful scrubbing as I could of marked the cupboards, any tips would be much appreciated ?

Plastic Scraper for the bulk and a good quality degreasing spray
