Ed
Depends on the type of tile and where you are located. Often it can be cheaper to hire a basic rotary from someone like HSS Hire

From the look of your attachment, it is either porcelain or ceramic. Ceramic will not need a sealer, however, some porcelains will.

I have banged on long enough about the use of diamond brushes, so I won't bother anymore, I assume you will know about them by now. ;D

Thanks Kevin, Rob. I have never cleaned a tiled floor before because i concentrate on the exterior of buildings rather than the insides.
Kevin , do you mean a rotary like what we use on patios, driveways or is this something completely different ?
Rob , sorry you have lost me !

Hi Ed
when they say a rotary they mean the buffer type not a fsc. I have only cleaned 1 tiled floor and that was after advice from Kev. This would clean with the same process with a Rotary with Soft to Medium Brush after protecting Skirting etc you would pre-wet floor then apply aqua mix heavyduty tile and grout cleaner at 1 to 4 scrubbed in with your rotary and brush using a handheld brush for edges etc. Leave to dwell for 10-15 minutes but don't let dry then rinse with water and Vac up sludge if needed and the tile isn't glazed which doesn't look like it is in pic then repeat process but add a little honing powder when i did this i got great results.
