Hi all.
I'm planning on switching from my 12.5mm hose to 8mm and have a few questions.
In your opinion which is the best and which is best avoided?
Is it durable enough to cross roads or should I be a little more careful with it?
Will my flow drop; I don't use a controller???
Cheers

I currently hose 100m of Gardiners Thermobore 6mm ID had it since late January of last year and it has been the most durable hose i have used just rotated it 2 weeks ago .
I do run it across some roads but not only one main road in front of traffic lights and have had no issues with this hose at all .
Other hose i have used has sprung leaks and been torn open on roads with cars going over it after about 6 months of usage . Mike

Jesus really lol? In front of traffic lights haha. I run across a few roads but they are quiet estates. I have witnessed a wife holding the hose up while her hubby drove under it, i was like W T F lol

Flow or pressure shouldnt drop.
Without a controller your pump will still push out the same flow irrelevant of variables.
Pressure shouldnt be effected if using thecsame pole hose as it would be the diametre of your pole house that would determine the pressure coming out if the brush...

LOL fair enough, road sounds busy lol

I use bog standard 6mm microbore and frequently have it across a road, never very busy roads mind you, but have had cars vans and even trucks go across it. If anyone asks if it ok to drive across it (most dont!), i tell them to go for it, just dont stop on the hose as it will cut off my water :'( ;)

I use 8 mm wouldn't change it, did try the 6 mm but I don't use a flow controller and the flow dropped a fair bit even those it's only slightly smaller.
