Yes
110 amp leisure battery with 2 Shurflo pumps and Varistream contollers - no issues. Also have split charge relay. We drive 10 - 15 miles a day max so don't do enough mileage to charge battery. Plug charger in every second night. Battery purchased 15th January 2011.
Previous battery lasted 3 years with the same setup.

Hi Spruce
When you say "plug charger in every second night" do you mean you charge up the battery away from the van on a charger, then run the battery in the van using the split relay to charge for the next couple of days

Same as above, split charger needs a bit of help so I charge the battery in situ in van every weekend

I use two batteries. I use one, then at the end of the day I swap it for the other and charge up the one I've just been using; I alternate them like that.
I don't use a split charge relay, but my shed - where I charge the battery - is like 10 feet from where I park up.

Bob.
I have aTorberry anderson plug on the end of my battery charger which plugs into another wired to the battery. This means I can plug the charger in in seconds and can never make a mistake with connecting the wrong terminals up which I did quite regularly. The cable goes out to the van and the battery stays connected up out of the way. (The battery sits out of the way in the little space behind the bulkhead and in front of the tank.)
