Its a medium roof LWB 3.5t Peugeot Boxer with a 3.0 Hdi engine, 6 speed box.
I can't wait for pictures of what he does inside -

You sound like my son - he says a Bipper is too big. ;D
You can never have a big enough van - that what one of his customers told us last week.
-
Now that is a properly sign written van. ;D

Lol. For me its too big just for windows...even with other equipment thats huge. Would be a nightmare where i live.

It isn't really that much bigger. Its a meter longer than my SWB Citroen Relay in overall length and exactly the same width. A meter is nothing. It does mean quite a bit in volume though.
My swb is lacking floor space now there are 2 of us working out of it.
Someone I came across in York started a driving school with a Mondeo Estate diesel. He only had 1 woman cancel when he arrived in this car. Once they gained confidence, he said it didn't matter whether it was a Corsa or Mondeo. And he felt they did better in the driving test - he replaced that car with - yes you guessed it - another Mondeo estate.
What does surprise me is that the LWB Vivaro is just 200mm longer than my SWB Relay. I always thought it was much longer than it is.
-
I have a SWB Boxer. I finally got it written on Monday. I plan to clean it tomorrow and take some pictures for the website so I will add one here. Exciting eh?
-
Hi I will take some photos of the inside tomorrow,
??? I thought you sold up left the forum and started a fishing business?
I'm confused.

Wasn't that south Dorset window cleaning ?

I lost count of all the names mate. Same person, same company.
I think he advertised and sold the same van countless times. Then quit, then set up, then quit.
:)

Ooohhh
What's the point in all that malarkey then...

new photos added

It's like the Matrix, like i say. Impressive van, no worries of water leaking ;D

if I do get any leaks the Floor is fibre glassed, then has non slip grit then gel coated,

Looks good... I couldnt drive a big van like that round here, wouldnt be practical what so ever lol

Oh, hate to be critical of set- ups and all that, but I expected a little more, and is that correct the great big grey box is the tank set over to the near side?

It is the tank but it is in the middle of the van not on one side ? (think its the angle I took the photo)

Must be, looked a bit odd

As promised, a picture of my Boxer, fresh back from signwriting. I've had it nearly three years.

It's just a pumpboard, tank and reel. Nothing to see here. ;D
I am really pleased with the outside though. It's just a shame about the dent in the side door. :-[

Working vehicle, always gonna get some bumps and dings

He can put his ladders in the back like I do. Room for 1000L tank, DI vessels, pressure washer, 1 reel from back, 1 reel from side and still got plenty of room. It's better to have too much room than not enough I reckon. :)
-
Why is it so impractical for some of you to have a van that size? Are you cleaning windows on doll's houses or is it just that you can't drive?! :P ::)roll
-
I had the same set up with the boiler mounted on the back door. Moved it to just inside the sliding door with time the hoses leaked from opening and closing the back door.I find inside the sliding door worked better as my hoses are roof mounted and exit at the same door and all controller at the same door work a treat.

Strange woman eh? I remember the call actually. She said she could clean the downstairs ones herself and I just said that I wouldn't clean upstairs windows only. Thirty upstairs windows? Pull the other one. ;D
I really ought to do something with the website at some point.
Thank you for pointing that out though.
Comment pasted below as I am about to remove it.
Called today to get my upstairs windows cleaned, was told well its not really worth my while, before he had even asked how many windows I had. Your obviously very busy but with that kind of customer service I hope that's the case long term for you! By the way I have roughly 30 upstairs windows. More fool you.

;D
People eh?
Glad it doesn't bother you mate.

People are amazed when I turn down the chance to clean their windows. I have heard it said before on here that some people really do believe we sit by the phone all day awaiting their call. ::)roll

A had my pole onto a window of a customer and he was like "ohhhh you have already started" So i was like why's that? He wanted to cancel coz he wants todo them himself. He was a 3 monthly customer and it was a £10 house priced at £20 coz its every 3 months. Said no bother and dropped the pole down, he was like nah clean em today. I was like nahhhhh not if you gonna cancel, will save you £20! Looking at the windows, he had LOADS of building work done and alllll that storms. So he was sooooo keen for me todo them but just for one last time.
I was like nahhhhhhhhh as i walked off to next house, he was like please mate, windows are filthy. This next bit my dad nearly wet his pants as he was over hearing it.
I was like well i just has a customer cancel 10 seconds ago, so i can take you on now. He looked at me weird, knowing he had cancelled.
Totted up out loud.
House would be about £25, first clean would be 4 times the price, so would be about a £100.
never been called a **** before by a customer and he walked off. Felt great lol
