Title: Contract Cleaning Prices
Post by: Egg on February 20, 2014, 03:10:42 pm
I'm sure this question has been asked before so apologise in advance.

I am window cleaner but looking to get into office, contract cleaning. Have been
asked to quote to clean a estate agents once a week in London should take just
over an hour to clean to good standard.

My question is price. I would be doing the work myself and thinking of quoting £18
an hour does that sound right?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Egg
You should do it for the price that works for you. My first office clean was £25 per week but got me started and I could then use him as a reference. Bear in mind the difference to your insurance, the health and safety required (coshh, risk assessments, method statements etc) and the payment terms. Do the clean yourself and think about who will cover it when you are away or poorly. Employ staff and then you're involved in PAYE etc, staff training, site audits. Not trying to put you off but best go into with your eyes open!
Cheers
Tim
