these look more like a van suited to my work and budget.i could get a half decent one for 4 or 5 grand.new shape.
the roofs are low enough to take ladders off easily as well.
do they come in 2 payloads(1000kg and 1200kg?)
1.6 and 2.0?
im just wondering if ill get my poles in ok on the shorter wheel base version.plus is there enough room for 500L upright tank and frame plus gas bottle, heater, reels etc without being too cramped?
basically i want enough room for all of the above without being over the payload limit first thing.the side panels also seem big enough for decent signage.
thoughts? on you guys that have em please! ;D
regards

Dazmond get the 1200kg model mate which is lwb you wont run out of room and all poles will fit. I think they have a few different payloads so make sure you get the right model lol.

Like I said on your other thread. This will be the van for you.
Get the 2.0HDI.
A lot of issues with the 1.6HDI. Mainly
Turbo issues with them going bone dry randomly. All down to the oil pipe.

Hi Daz
I've got the 2.0 HDI (albeit 05 version).
Great van, never let me down. I've got a 450L upright tank in frame.
I have cut small holes through the bulk head to slide in the poles.
No problem with room for other gear.

ive been looking at these , + the VW c20 tdi Maxi, long ,2 side doord , rear barn doors, lots of room compared to the c20 tdi smaller models.
im looking at 2 models, Dispatch, Expert, Theres a company in Coventry advertising Dispathes 2.0 litre models, 45ooo miles, £6500 @ vat,
then something else will catch my eye.
i keep looking for a very good deal.

You can get the 1200kg payload in swb, lwb and lwb high roof versions, but unless you have especially long poles, they should fit in the standard swb.
Actually, both payloads will manage a 500l tank, but if you can, go for the bigger one.
Also, dont discount the fiat scudo and the peugeot expert, they are the same vans after all, made in the same factory. As has been mentioned, the 2.0 is the better engine. As well as being more reliable (and faster!), it is also more efficient than the 1.6, bonus!.
Citroen did a version called the xtr, which had higher ground clearance, mud & snow tyres and a fancy front diff/traction control system, which made it very good in slippery conditions. Not many about though.

I have the old shape 2.0hdi dispatch 900kg payload, excellent an owned it 8 years from new. From what I hear they are a bit more reliable than the new shape. Plenty of room for poles, and everything else. Mine are stored on rack fitted under roof.
As mentioned steer clear of new shape 1.6.
Other van to consider would be Toyota Hiace.
I think 900kg payload would be sufficient for single operator, 500l tank plus ladders etc.

Got lwb 2.0hdi dispatch its awesome drive around like its a car.doesnt feel like theres anything in the back.
powers in all 6 gears.
Perfect van.

Daz I had the fiat Scudo 1.6 load of rubbish, I'd defo go for the 2.0 as its got 6 speed the 1.6 only has 5 speed gears with no go in it. 👳👳👳👍

stop off the 1.6 there rubbish check ebay out and see how many for sale with blown engines
but make sure your poles fit , as if your running a 47ex with a a.d and a gosse neck it may not fit they don't in our transit

Heres mine Daz,im very happy with it,had it nearly two years.
Love the two side loading doors, the 2.0 litre HDI engine is sweet, and dosnt notice 650 litres of water in the back. I had the mk 1 expert before this one and I loved that too, infact I gave it to my boy after I finished with it.

nice one guys im gonna keep my eye out for the 2.0 litre versions.trippy that looks like the perfect van for me!lol. ;D ;D

I have owned a 1.6 Dispatch swb for about 5 years now, its a great van and has never
given me any problems.
Which is good going considering I'm not one for regular servicing. One old change in 5 years.
Good van for getting in and out of tight spaces and if needs be it will fit into a small garage.

trippyboy, what price and mileage did you pay 2 years ago.
