Title: Having a slogan?
Post by: PurefectWindowCleaning on February 18, 2014, 08:40:48 pm
Thinking of using a slogan under my company name on uniform, van, flyers etc 'taking window cleaning to the next level'

Is there any copyright type jazz to worry about or would I be good to go?

''We crash any van.com,any, any, any, any, we crash any van.com''

What about, ''dont be shy, give us a try''

I like that one. Haha.

Back on topic, just go for it.

Do a quick online search on whatever you choose to make sure no one anywhere near you has it. I'm not sure if you can trademark a slogan?

On my van I've got "your pane, our pleasure"

Think there's a company down in Wales have "your panes, are our pleasure"

And a company in America have it too.

Unless you become a multi national company I'm sure you will get away with any slogan. :)

Think there is a register bit like company house, like mcdonalds "I'm lovin it". So there must be some legal detail to it, I use "gardening made affordable" never made any checks though....

Never really thought about it, think trademarks are more for actual logos thinking about it....

Slogans are only worth having if they're really memorable - if they stick in someones mind and stay there, so that the next time they need the services you offer they immediately remember you.

For example - a scaffolding company near me has the slogan "Satisfaction Guaranteed With Every Erection" - being a little immature, I thought that was hilarious & never forgot it, and if I ever need scaffolding I'll prob give them a call first!

Our slogan is, "Come and talk dirty to us".

People seem to remember it.

I used to work with someone else and we had the slogan 'we also do internals'.

It got us a lot of business.

Just re-read your post... You will be fine using that slogan, IPO would not allow it to be registered as a trademark, so go for it!!
