Hi everyone,
I want to thanks those who have given me advise on wfp, van systems and a trolley set up.. I have decided to go with a trolley set up for now, and see how it goes.
The point of my post today is this ,
What do I need to do to get customers? Do I need permits?. I don't want to step on any toes, and upset current widow cleaners, but do I put leaflets out or go door knocking etc?
Is the old "this is my patch" still the way of the world
Any more pointers I may have not considered would be great, thanks

permits are used in scotland
"my patch attitude" mainly in council areas
I cover ALL OF CHESHIRE, so you will have to move..............Shropshires nice ;D

Deliver the flyers first, and then a couple of days later follow up with door knocking. All you have to ask them is if they had received your cleaning flyer . . . . much better result this way I have found.
Give yourself a target of knocking on so many doors each day, even if you get no response carry on till you have hit your target.
Repeat the above, and you will have a full round in no time ;D

Don't bad mouth any other cleaners other than that anything goes.
There's no such thing as somebody's patch we all live and work in a free market.
Canvassing worked best for me.
Put all your efforts into doing a good job and you wont have any problems building a descent round.
