Has anyone ever come across Blue shampoo stains ::) Had a customer that showed me a stain that she would like removed at a future date...Her daughter had spilled a whole bottle of blue shampoo (some kind of swimming pool shampoo stuff) on her bedroom carpet...She tried to remove it with water, but it just kept foaming up, and left a light blue stain...On my way out, I tried rinse extracting it with fibre and fabric rinse, with no effect...any ideas?

you will proberbly have to put some de foam on the shampoo to stop the foaming and then try to get rid of the blue stain, it depends what the carpet is made from, try to have a look at the bottle of shampoo if possible I would try an oxy type cleaner but make sure you test the area first. You may find the colour goes as you rinse out all the soap. It does take quite a long time though depending on how much has been spilt you will have to tell the customer you may have to return a few times and a dirt spot may keep appearing until all the soap has been removed. Hope this helps.

I've got it off man made using enzyme. Not sure it would work on wool.
Maybe I was lucky.

It happened last summer appearantly...and it was a full bottle...so, i dont know really..the carpet is wool..it would have to be flushed out with cold water, im thinking...but, as for the blue-ness.. ???
