Title: Att Peter Fogwill re aqua tap
Post by: Lee Pryor on February 13, 2014, 10:17:16 am
Hi Peter

We got 2 of these to try this week and my first impression was they look very good. My chaps have been out with them a day or so now and are feeding back to me that its just to easy for them to turn while cleaning. They say that if the turning action was stiffer they would be spot on.

Have others said the same? If so is it possible to make a stiffer version? I have told my staff to give it more time and see and generally I like the product.

Anyone else having this problem?

Hi and thanks for the feedback. They will tighten up some say after a week of use.
I am assembling them slightly different now whereas they will be tighter from day one.
Its just some silicon grease on the O rings that will wear off. You could open it up and remove the grease yourself if you wanted?

Any problems or questions phone me on 07751964450

You just pull out the two little silver pins.  Put it in the middle and clamp a set of mole grips on the pins and move slightly back and forth as you pull the pins. Or send them to me and I will give you replacements which are already a bit tighter.  If you are going to do it yourself wash with soapy water taking the orings out and cleaning the O'rings and the groove they sit in, and also the inside of the large plastic piece where the disk is.

Do you still need the hose on the outside? Or can they be used with the hose inside.

Like I said this new batch I am assembling at the moment will be tight from the start.

Anyone with the hose on the outside its advisable to cable tie the hose against the top of the pole to stop a pull on the connector.

Peter.

If you get the pole top from Gardiner and a No 1 clamp, I could give you the other part you need.
