Title: Ionic pro 6 RO change
Post by: brianbarber on February 12, 2014, 04:25:48 pm
Hi guys

A mate of mine,he's got a pro 6.
Needs a new RO
If he takes old one out and flushes the cartridge out and a re fits it will it improve tds reading.
Also can you obtain an equivalent replacement to do away with the ionics RO?

Thanks in advance

Mr B

Is it a newer style RO? If its is then no. If it a 40 40 just change the membrane..

I believe it's the original,
It's possibly 5 years old

If its 5 years old you have done well. and it will be the 30in.
In short whatever way you go you're still going to have a expense.
Stump up the cash and get a new one and always back wash and salt wash on each fill and the ro will last. Mine is 5 years and still working fine.

Why back wash daily? once a week is plenty. Salt wash is done daily to regenerate the softener.
