All this flooding going on all over the country and yet hardly any flood restoration companies to be seen..
Talking to a loss assessor guy I know he tells me that the adjusters are having trouble getting anyone in to deal with building drying and clear out, let alone anything else.
Years ago in this situation the roads would have been full of Sevicemaster, Chem Dry, Rainbows Balfors etc but he says not a one in sight where he is....
Quite how these households are dealing with this god only knows, I even saw on the news the other day an Insurance guy advising a couple on drying out their rugs which has been flooded by water run in off a farm.. ::)roll
This is going to cost the Insurance industry 3- 4 times more than necessary...

Problem is the roads are still full of deep water :(

Yes we are all geared up , got a batch of 30 properties in berkshire to visit next week.

We've been on to it in & around Dorset for several weeks now, have seen servicemaster out at a few places but no one else.

Yep they are all very busy. One of my customers in Surrey has been out everyday since Christmas eve.
There is no point in attending properties which are still flooded or where flood warnings are still in place. Once this water subsides which could take months then you will see them swing into action. I had people in yesterday checking I had enough product in stock for when they get the call.

Noticed Chem-Dry Essex just round the corner from me yesterday Sidcup!

Nothing like the numbers there used to be,
I believe many of these house holders will be left to there own devices not knowing how to deal with it they will only make a bad situation worse.

Think you are right or be put in the hands of untrained builders.

The insurance companies put all their eggs in a couple of baskets. The smaller ones packed it in. Their own fault.
