Title: employing and bad weather

How do you deal with bad weather I'm happy to work in rain now as long as its now chucking it down but today the wind is picking up 25-30 mph.

Are employee days off due to weather just part of employing or do you just send them out and wait for the complaints.

Just been dealing with two complaints today due to wind and rain. Its on a round I manage but don't clean.

Offered to clean the house again, this clean is free and next clean will be half price.

i love shocking people some time. He was speechless its a £15 house so can easily soak up the issue of doing it for free.

He left the phone very happy.

bet he complains every month now :D

My part timer knows if no work then no pay EG was meant to be out today but told him not working but will be tomorrow - explained this is just how it is before he started so no issue.

When he becomes full time then same will apply no work no pay but he can earn money from canvassing any time he feels like it.

Blue sky and 60mph + winds easy, no chance of working here. Sky news forecasts storms until May, hope they are completely wrong

No work no pay,  the guys are on 30 hrs pw contract over six days

So if weather is bad they catch up over the week and have to come in Saturday for outstanding work,  if they are still short on hours/work they work extra the following week.

Are these the same weather predictors that said 100days of snow and wintery weather starting in november? Haha

we quit at 1 pm today due to high winds .    i make sure we always work if its raining, light wind is no problem

my workers want money and so do i

get rid of any employee who tends to be clumsy ASAP ,in bad weather they fall hard and fast ,so dont wait for that to happen

They also forecast we would be under a blanket of snow and ice since last November, so far it's been the best winter for years (in the NW anyway).

I do take the hit along with me no work no pay our use up your holidays which has its benifits too esp near Xmas and they all wanna use holidays up
