I'm shortly going to loose my virginity.
I feel ashamed that it's taken me this long and I hope it's as good as I'm hoping.
At this time I'm still a Gardiner virgin but that will all change in a few days when a nice new pole arrives at my house.
To all you Gardiner fans; I'll shortly be one of you ;D

You wont regret it.
I love my gardiner pole. Just make sure you keep it well maintaned, change your indicator tape every two weeks, keep it clean and lubricated.
I use autoglym resin polish on the poles once a month. It keeps the action nice and smooth.

Nice one bud...for a min I thought you were on about something else ;D

what gardiner pole did you go for mate? :)
-
The new 65% carbon clx2
I know they have lighter, stiffer poles there to choose from but as I'm used to using poles from Streamline I reckon this new one is going to be a huge improvement.
next on my list is a SLX35.

I think you 've been wfp a lot longer than me.have you been using streamline poles all these years? ::)roll
The clx will feel like an extreme pole! ;D
No going back now my friend!you ll Chuck the streamline straight in the bin where it belongs!! ;D
-
Nothing wrong with hybrid streamline poles apart they are alot heaver than some. I'm sure you can flog them on fleebay to a newbie that's on a tight budget that would be more than happy with them ;D.

Streamline poles are too heavy and too wide at the handle end
I also have an Ionic Ergolite at 60ft which is heavy and at 8ft or so the sections are ridiculously long.
I'm changing everything to Gardiner.m
-
for someone just starting , why did you get a 50ft pole ???
-
is it just the poles your changing , must have my wires crossed ;)
