I was contacted by a guy called Jake from MF Fuels some months ago, he said he got my number from the NCCA for which I am a member of ! Anyway he was plugging these fuel cards, saying I would save anywhere between 5 and 10 pence off a litre of desil at there designated bunkered sites, I have used them for a few months now but the saving was nowhere near the 5 or 10p per litre off, more like half to one penny, but to cap it all they have started charging me £1.50 per transaction per month ! what a joke, as you can imagine I've cut up the said discount fuel cards as I save more from my local asda and have reported them to the NCCA

I am a member of the NCCA, and used their fuelcards, via Jake for a couple of months, was not worth it so closed the account after a couple of months. Was not always cheaper than local filling stations.

Also got fuel card from said company, never used them as the saving is minimal if any . The price they give is plus vat !

We use a fuel card from Diesel Fleet services, and that is a few pence cheaper than pump prices, once you've added the VAT. Watch out, though, don't put anything other than diesel on them - we started off putting LPG on them, only to realise when we got our first statement that they added 20% VAT to the pump price! A bit of reasoned firm talking got us a refund, and we still use them for diesel.

I'd never use one. Happy filling up at the local morrisons!

It very much depends on where you are. In urban areas with more competition it might not save you a lot. In a rural area such as where I am the economics are a bit different. From memory last weeks price (with the VAT added on) was around 1.33p per litre for diesel. Latest prices at my Morrisons is 136.9 and at the Texaco garage (which is next door to Morrisons its 137.9 so saving 3.9 to 4.9 per litre and I don't get billed until around a fortnight later.

I also had one and it worked out no cheaper - I'm in Dover

our fuel bill was over 3k a week when running for d.h.l. , and the tip is to have at least two cards for each van , then you need to log on to there site on a Monday morning and find out whos fuel banks are cheaper then use there cards that week
if your not doing over 50.000 miles a year and can fill up dueing the day and you don't need to fill up over seas then don't bother with them to much chew on for very little
