Title: champ snap rings

surly it is not beyond the whit of man to come up with a better meathod of securing an ro end into the housing  of a 20" than this silly plastic ring that does not want to go in. Allready broke one.

amybody got any tips

I assume you're talking about the white plastic incomplete circle clip thingy ( this - http://www.gapswater.co.uk/acatalog/4--retaining-clip-1701.html ).  If it doesn't want to go in easily then the RO end piece is not in far enough.  Shouldn't take any force at all, so I guess the end section might not be far enough in.  Give it a tap with a soft mallet (or a normal hammer but with a block of wood between the hammer and the RO end cap)

got it in finally. its getting the end cap down far enough thats the prob...still think its a bad design. thanks for the tip. aparently it is called a champ houseing snap ring...more like a chump house fitting
