Title: Help please
Post by: easy clean on February 07, 2014, 08:47:46 am
Hi guys,

In 8 years I've never put my prices up so as you can imagine some are a bit cheap, all the new work is priced ok but was looking for some input to help write a letter informing them about the increase.

Do I need to say about ever increasing running costs and all that or just keep it simple???

Many thanks

Hi mate,
Just add it to your windows were cleaned today slips saying thank you for there great custom and that as you havnt done a price rise in so long that they will be going up to x amount from next clean.  That method works for me everytime and have only lost a handful over the years due to it. I dont think your customers will care if its been that long at the same price.

I wrote this last time I put my prices up

               Dear Customer,

WINDOW CLEANING – PRICE CHANGE

We have increased our price for the cleaning of your property for the first time in a number of years.

to £ ________. This increase will be effective at our next clean.

This is a reluctant price change due to increased costs. It is hoped that this will not deter you from being one of our valued customers and if you wish to discuss the above account. please do not hesitate to phone me.
