I run a good sized company approx. 90 contracts
We clean pubs, clubs, offices and surgeries
We would like to add the communal areas of blocks of flats to this but I'm having trouble finding a way in to this market
Any advice or contacts gratefully received
Also happy to trade info if any one has any questions
Thanks

i dont do stairway cleaning/close cleaning (we do external power washing to HGV/brickwork & internal builders cleans)
i know someone who does the close cleaning, if you can phone any local factors in your area and ask to be put on the pricing list/tender list, thats what worked for him, he also approached local councils and housing associations for similar.
councils need to public the larger contracts online to tender and bid but the smaller ones from factors tend to be all in house pricing

Thanks
I have given up on the big council tenders they are so time consuming
When you say 'factors' ??
I have registered with some management companies but it's slow going
Thanks

factors are companies that manage the upkeep of blocks of flats/communal areas. just type it into google + your area
simple & effective

I cleaned a small apartment communal area for a builder and I found out who the managing agent who was going to take over. I contacted them and to go on their approved list just to be given the opportunity to quote was 150pounds year one and 100pounds every year after that. I thought this was excessive asno guarantee you would get any work from it.
Is this a normal arrangement for these companies?

Hello, We clean a few communal areas and you will usually find they are being managed by a letting agent. We are based in the Cheshire area. Usually I have found if you go to the apartments or the offices they will usually just tell you who is managing it.
