Hi guys, i noticed its been getting very cold in the early hours of the morning, should i wrap a couple of towels around it or something?
-
Ive heard if it drops below -1c it can knacker it up? You are best putting a oil filled rad on there if you've got a elec point, otherwise a gas propex hs2000 if not.
-
Right i see, im guna have to get a gas heater of some sort, will justvwrap towells round it for 2nyt

Is it a 40" membrane like in your pic?
-
King size duvet over the lot and a small tube heater underneath seems to work.
-
I have a spare propex heater if you or anyone else is interested post your email address, and il send you the details thanks!
(its never been used still in box)

^ this. I have two thick duvets that go right over the top and front of the water tank, filters, vessel, pump, ro the lot. If forecast says it's threatening to get down to even 3 degrees I get the duvets out. I have a thermometer that records max and min temps so I can keep an eye on temps under the duvet.
If you don't have a small heater, hot water bottles with those fluffy covers on will do just fine, placed on the ro or tucked between ro and tank, something like that. If it's sustained freezing weather where you won't be working or using the ro to fill the tank, it'd be best to get the ro indoors.

Another quickie,
On my system, i have a inlet port and an drain port,
The company i got my system from, gave me a drain pipe with fittings on, it looks to be microbore hose,
My question is do i use the same type of hose for the water in?
Or just normal garden hose?
-
I use normal 1/2" garden hose, Gardiner sells clear 1/2 hose which may or may not be better. I cut my garden hose up so there was as short a distance as possible between the outside tap and the van port to minimise loss of pressure, I do need a booster pump anyway though.

3 degrees blood hell i only used to protect mine if it was going to drop below freezing .
As mentioned before oil filled rad is your best option . Mike
