Title: Gutter Vac
Post by: petski2 on February 03, 2014, 05:03:32 pm
Does anyone own one of these and if so are they any good
http://www.guttercleaningsystems.co.uk/3000watt.html (http://www.guttercleaningsystems.co.uk/3000watt.html)

Reason for asking is there are some gutter vacs around for over a grand yet these are half that price.
Cheers in advance.

A much better machine is this one, as it has a much more powerful suction, and performs really well.    The owner is on this forum called Kev -

Forgot to say if you ask, they will supply the bigger inlet for the 50 mm hose  ;D

if you are doing mostly domestic a nilfisk 30t vac will do the job very well , high suction for its size and only £115 from machine mart .

If you want alloy poles i can sell you a set for £75 .

don't just go by wattage when you choose a vac , you need to look at airflow specs and suction specs .

I've used the same one in OP for about 8 months, not had any problems with it (fingers crossed) apart from the big bag like filter gets sucked in after a while.  But I phoned the guy and he said just remove it and sent me some ready cut foam filters to put around the motors etc.

Power wise, it's gone through everything I've thrown at it - albeit mostly residential jobs but a few bigger commercial jobs.  When I get more commercial work from it, I'd probably want something a bit more powerful etc.. just my two pence.

Also as I randomly found out Viper is owned by Nilfisk, if that means it's not bad quality?

the filter on the nilfisk is excellent , and there is a button you press that uses the suction to clean it .

Yes mate not had any problems with anything like that so far (that I remember anyway).. Although the highest I've used it at is 3 storeys on a town house, so can't comment on the power any higher.
