Title: Do Reels Pull Paint Off Bottom Of Doors?
Post by: S.W. Window Cleaning on January 29, 2014, 09:04:33 pm
Hi,
Getting a new wfp system fitted shortly. I wanted the reels secured so I would not have to lift them in and out. The company fitting the system say this is a bad idea because when you pull the hoses in & out it pulls all the paint off the bottom of the doors. Is this nonsense?
  Cheers,
     Steve

I've never had a problem, obviously if you pull the hose out rubbing against the door it will scratch it up a little but nothing major.  Even if it did mark up the door badly I'd rather that than the constant strain on my back, the human body is less serviceable than a van that you will only have for a few years.  What company was it?

Simon.

Depends how you pull your hose out.
The closed door on my Trafic has the paint rubbed off on the extreme edge.
Would never have it any other way though.
If I cared that much I'd be more careful about how I pulled it out.
