Title: 40x40 ro

hi. ive a tucker van mount, if i fit a 40x40 ro in the van can i still fill my tank from the tap & it will purify water as its pumped.

ive a variestream fitted,
any idea on the cost of the unit & running costs.
any info much appriciated.

if your talking about pumping from van tank through 40 x 40 its unlikely as presure and flow rate will be missing and it WILL waste water as your rejection RATE WILL BE HIGH i have done it before with 2 40x40 but from mains tap .

but what do i know you could allways try it might work if not will have to fill from tap as normal will save on resin costs in long run

I have a 40 40 ro though i use it as a static system use a pump to increase production you would still need to polish water after being passed through ro as their would still be a reading of 3-4 ppm in water i don't know if this is what you mean hope it is of help. :)

what ratio of pure to wast water do you get from 4x40 as my merlin is 5 waste

i am not sure on that i use a tap on the end of ro to control how much pure water is produced its not a lot of waste as its a steady trickle that comes from waste pipe. sorry i can't be sure .

When installing my 4 x 40 they told me to set it up at a 50 x 50 ratio.

You do this by closing the waste control tap to get the same waste as pure, I used two 1 litre jugs and ajusted it  untill they filled at the same rate.

we get 75-80 %keep as pure and disguard the 20-25%
