I know a few of you have seen me around on the odd occasion
Im feeling much better, cheers for the messages
As ive told a few, Ive been suffering from a major headache, i had it for 2 months, 24 hours a day, of course i was very concearned it was was thing :(
a few trips to the docs and its now sorted (still awaiting the Xray results though)
now here is the warning
It seems my headache was caused by me using my WFP (shock horror)
let me continue before the "gang jump to the defence of WFP"
you neck has 4 major nerves in it, 1 runs to the brain, well in a rough laymans terms, if you look up all the time, you runa greater risk of trapping / stressing that nerve
my advice is -- extent that pole a little further, thus your stood further back and not using so much of your neck
also do some warm up / down exercises on your neck BEFORE and AFTER work

Nice to see you back Matt and great news that the headaches were not anything more serious.
Good advice too - will tell the hubby and I will now believe it when he says ' I have a headache' ;)

Are you sure it's not a brain tumor?
Only joking, mate. I recently had a lump in my 'danglies' and it turned out to be nothing too.
A testicular-appendage the doctor called it after groping me.
I was a bit disapointed to tell the truth; I'm now back on full 'kitchen-duty' and can't use the 'I've got cancer card' to escape doing the dishes!
I've been missing your 'anti-Ionics' posts for a while now!

I have always liked extending the pole to "max" and standing further away, then simply holding the pole higher up when I get to lower windows.
But..... standing further away also creates more muscle strain when moving the pole from window to window ie RSI is a possibility. :( a modular butt joint allows fast and easy take down).
Thats one reason why I want the industry to come up with lighter poles.

Matt
I am relieved it was not anything more serious.
Great to see you posting again.
I posted this ages ago and so many had a real dig at me over it at the time, but excercise is so important to undo those stresses that build up from how wfp is used. I also said about possible strains and injuries from wfp and got laughed at.
Are you doing excercises? Have you seen someone who understands the strains regarding the job you do?
It costs but it is a worthwhile expense.
I see a proper sports type massage lady who is well qualified in terms of relieving stress and all that in the muscles and who also knows about proper excercise to strengthen the muscles used without affecting or damaging posture etc. It costs me £55 every 4 weeks but worth every penny.
Anyway - good to have you back so to speak.
Cheers

I suffer with cluster headaches which a doctor told me the pain was as intense as labour pains. If this is the case ladies you have my sympathy. I have a bad habit of sleeping with my arms under my pillows cricking my spine in the process starting headaches.
Also my wife shopping unchaperoned has the same effect lol.
Cheers Mark.

Welcome back Matt, what a relief, you must have been imagining all sorts. Our health is something we take for granted until something goes wrong. Dai
