weve ratchet strapped this one in so no bolts, xline have bolted a 350 in one of there vans they are selling so it is possible, i just dont know how hard it is though, both mine and x-lines are upright tanks,

I like the look of the astra, and have thought of getting one myself. But, after my weighbridge experience with my transit connect (900kg payload, 500l tank, 40kg to spare!), i am not convinced that an astra with a 350l tank (630-650kg payload depending on exact version) would be legal. Anyone been on a weighbridge with a full 350l+ tank to find out?.

i really wanted an astra van as will still be doing trad work as well as pole work and find the roof height easy to load ladders on and off as opposed to other vans but im concerned that if i bought as astra van and built a system and then find its getting too small in a few months!
do the poles fit straight in the back ok without having to stick them through the front?

Poles do come into cab but if it has a bulk head you can make a hole (or bracket) and put them up high enough to not be in the way.

I don`t think a Astra is a suitable window cleaning van It will work but why buy and spend cash to find out it will take no vac or pressure washer when you want to expand into these things.I  would not even consider it.Just use an estate if you want an Astra and avoid the insurance. ??? ??? ???
