Title: Fiat Scudo/Peugeot Expert/Citroen Dispatch
Post by: Joe Bromley on January 20, 2014, 11:16:28 am
Hi,

Have any of you guys used the '96-'06 models for WFP?

Double side-loading doors looks pretty tempting to me for the price.

Any pro's or con's from previous owners would be useful.

Many thanks,

Joe

You wont go wrong with 1 mate. Easily upto the job. No faults with mine at all apartf from my old van which was the 1.9d where my only down was that it was verey slugish when full with water. The 2.0hdi handles 650 litres with ease.

had loads of electrical minor issues and clutch problems on my 2009 dispatch, all covered by warranty , but pain keep having to take back.... was good when not at dealers but changed it for a transit 280 when clutch started juddering
had had enough then.
I liked to work out of it but also found pedels were way to close together for my size 11 feet .

I really like mine, an expert hdi , 52 plate, pulls great with a 650 ltr tank.
Incidentally, I have a minor fault with the windscreen wipers on mine, occurred just this weekend.
On the first manual setting the wipers should make one pass of the windscreen, if you let go of the wiper lever on the steering column the wipers will stop ie; not return to the end of the motion (if you get what I mean) and on the second setting they should be intermittent (thats not working at all) the other 2 settings (fast and slow) are working thankfully !
Anybody here know what needs to be fixed/looked at ?

Seems like the Pre-'06 HDI model is the one.

Thanks guys.

I don't know if it goes for the others but I believe my peugeot expert version has a galvanised chassis, there's no rust on mine and its 11 years old now.

Have a 2.0hdi dispatch from new, 8 years old 70k miles. No problems so far. Excellent van IMO. I hear the newer model - 06 onwards - is not as reliable.

They were all galvanised as they were made in the same factory.
