Title: Fitting 2nd pump
Post by: Paul H on January 19, 2014, 10:03:32 am
If I was Looking to fit another pump to my set up for another operator can I just T off the pipe from my BSP port between that and the first pump ? ...

Thinking a T type BSP fitting may also work as one pioe needs to go one way and the other to the 2 nod pump another ... I'd also like some kind of cut off tap in the hose to the second pump for when that's not in use ..

OR ,, have I got all wrong ... Know what I'm wanting to do just if someone can help me out how to execute it with what fittings etc.. That would be appreciated

Thanks
Paul

yes you can tee in to the water feed pipe to your first pump.
But ideally have a second feed from the tank

All our set ups for 2 men have a tee piece it doesn't effect the flow or water supply in any way as the pumps don't have enough power to starve the other of water
You can put in an "in line" tap to each pump if you wish but as they don't leak when not in use you may find the extra faffing and extra joints ( potential leak points ) just to much hassle

Baffled with irrigation pipe - far less water movement than with the Wydale tanks 😃😃

Y or t piece between tank outlet and 2 pumps.
Most ive seen have tank outlet - bit of hose - y piece - creating 2 feeds gor 2 pumps

Yeah seen that idea before, good stuff.

I fitted plastic ball pit balls with holes punched in them with a solidering iron. Worked a treat in my 350 upright wydale :D Cost me £4

Next van is have a super system tho ;)
