I've been doing the same, for a 4040 static set up. Not decided yet but think it's between Daqua and Vyair: -

You got a pump? ... Or that with normal tap pressure... Mate

hi guys, when you say things like 150 litres an hour etc and if it makespure water that quick, could you not just fill the van tank and then filter it as you use it like doing it through a di tank method?
just thinking when i get a van setup an decided on a 4040, rather than have a hose running outside my house onto the footpath on the road for a few hours i could just fill up tank then filter it as i use it?
at the moment im going to fill tank and then straight through di as i clean but doing an ro will save me in long run!

Mate depends on your tap tds ... From that you will know if you can produce water through DI only ... Or RO / DI
I need RO / DI
I just produce it into my IBC tank then use a transfer pump to get it in my van tank ..and while I'm out working the IBC is being filled up with pure water..
No matter how you do it so,long as water you use to clean is 0 ppm then it's down to what will work best for you

I bought a pump from machine mart £80 odd quid.
my pressure was very low in the unit and was producing less than 50 litres per hour.
with the pump on it flys out.

My water pressure is just shy of 4 bar approx 57 ish psi ... Hoping that's ok .. Says so
-
Tap psi is around 80psi I can fill a 1000ltr Ibc in just over 4 hours

You mean :
Pump - 40/40 - DI - hosereel - pole ... ?

Sounds like I'll get a rate with my normal pressure then

windi i dont understand how the pump works obviously it does. If you have so much water coming from tap how can the pump make more or how does the water keep up with pump.

There is a diffetence between water FLOW and water PRESSURE....
If you have 15litres in a minute as the flow, but its running through 2inch diametre hose, the water doesnt have to work that hard to go through so there is less pressure.
If you have 15litres per minute trying to get through 1/2 inch hose, the water works harder to get through making more pressure.
(Ever put your hose on your out door tap and then put your finger over the outlet to make the water squirt further?same flow from tap, different pressure)
R.O's need an optimum pressure to work (usually 80psi + ) although the 40/40 HF5 membrane is made to work off less pressure.
Booster pumps do as they say on the tin. They boost the pressure going onto the membranes...

the pump pushes up the pressure of the water from the tap through the ro to produce more pure water.
