Does anyone offer in-situ curtain cleaning?

I've recently started offering this service.  I'm using (pre-vac then) a microsplitter pre-spray followed by steam cleaning through a terry towel pad.  It's a fiddly, tricky job.  It seems particularly difficult cleaning the bottom of full length curtains -

Does anyone have any tips for making life a bit easier?

You could vac spray then terry towel each side at same time not bother with the steam.

Use a plastic plasterers Hawk to push the fabric against.

Use craftex dry clean in a trigger spray, give the curtains a good vac and brush then mist and towel off I tend to use 2 towels made into pads and hold one at the front and back and draw the pad down. If the curtains bad mist dry clean onto pad. Craftex product smells nice as opposed to dry pro which stinks.

David over the years we have cleaned a lot of curtains and the main thing is knowing what fabrics will respond best to the system you are using. Many you will find, particularly cotton prints will come up great with fabric restorer. A lot of curtain fabrics are not pre-schrunk  and steam can cause this to a greater extent on some fabrics, so you need to identify when that might create problems. You also need to get your customer to sign a disclaimer against that and the egageration ( I told myself 1000 times to learn how to spell eggagerate) of sun fade. Many dry cleaners use these and you could get a copy from them. We have a set of terms on the back of our curtain quotation and all work is taken on those terms. just have a question in mind..what u guys when u have clean a large size rug.. but you don't have enough pit space for it..
