Title: varistream
Post by: johnfrancis on January 16, 2014, 03:32:21 pm
my varistream has stopped working, to buy a new one is quite expensive is there another way to control the flow of my water to my pole that is similar?

Hi my controller just packed up,whils it was being repaired,I connected the pump straight to battery,it worked ok,but the downside pump is running flat out when you call for water, resulting in using a lot of water, also when you stop water flow the pump is going from flat out to a sudden stop, don't think this is good for pump but got me out of trouble.
There a guys on here that work without a controller but don't know if they do the same as I did or if they have another way of regulating water flow

In honesty you are better replacing the controller, the newer units have a wide range of features that benefit your system.

thanks for the reply. I have now fixed it.  I bought a flow controller from Maplins and a on off switch which cost in total £20, I've set it all up and is working perfectly.

Except you haven't got an electronic pressure switch.

where is the electronic pressure switch in a set up like that, in the pump side or inside the digi box?

the electronic switch does not come into play, which is in the pump. the reason is that when I want to stop pump I just press my remote button which is around my neck, and this turns off my pump, so it has no water pressure going to it.
