Title: Grippatank sizes?
Post by: SherwoodCleaningSe on January 12, 2014, 05:57:42 pm
Hi guys,

I'm wondering if anybody who has a grippatank could give me an idea of the sizes.  I know that there are sizes on their website however they don't tell you the tank frame size at the base.  I'm looking at the 850 model but I guess all the tanks will have the same size frame on the base.  I just want to see the total size footprint it will take up and how much of that will be tank, and how much frame if you get what I mean.

Simon.

I would imagine the sizes include the frame but just email and ask and maybe mock one up out of cardboard boxes to see how it looks in the van .

I think each frame is a different size to keep centre of gravity low .

I have the 650 and it does take up a fair bit of floor space , I love it though , very good tanks in my opinion .

It's the size of a standard euro pallet, you can do the google search for dimensions  :)

I've emailed a few days ago and am waiting, I understand they are very busy at the moment.  Size of a standard euro palate doesn't tell me how big the frame is at the base, it looks like the frame is recessed into the tank on the sides and top but at the base it extends from the tank what looks to be several inches, how many inches is what I want to know.

Good Evening,

Thank you for the question Simon - i am sure the office will be in touch with you tomorrow. In the meantime, sizes as follows:

Litre
Tank Dimensions
Tank and Frame Dimension
400W: 970mm x L: 780mm x H: 610mmW: 970mm x L: 1080mm x H: 610mm
650W: 1090mm x L: 1090mm x H: 610mmW: 1090mm x L: 1390mm x H: 610mm
850W: 1240mm x L: 1090mm x H: 710mmW: 1240mm x L: 1390mm x H: 710mm

W = measurement between wheel arches.
L = measurement from front to back of tank/vehicle.
H = height of tank.

Thanks Grippa

Those were just the dimensions I was looking for.  So the tank frame at the base takes up nearly an extra foot in length compare to the tank, no wonder these tanks stay where you put them.  It does free up space in the air though which is useful.

Pleased to have been able to help Simon.

The system is certainly designed to Stop when you Stop!

One of the key benefits of these dimensions is improved stability which in turn equals reduced wear and tear on the vehicle. As the tank height is only 610mm along with the honeycomb baffling, gone are the days of the van rocking back and forth at traffic lights with the water movement.

Do you not sell the Honeycomb baffle tanks on their own . Mike

Hi Mike,

Apologies for the delay in response.

The tanks have been designed as an integral part of the restraint system and thus would not be sold on their own.

We do however currently have a 10% discount offer from December that is still available.
