When one of your existing customers move out how many of you go and introduced yourselfs to the new owners of the property. . Very rarely do I ever do this myself as pick new work up on a regular basis.

be daft not to

Yes. I always do.
It's never guaranteed that they want to continue though - but I would say 75% do.

I normally give the custie a leaflet or business card to leave for new owners which nearly always gets me in.
-
Do a few houses on an area where 75% is rented, try and avoid rental houses if I can but on that estate it's always one in and one out.
-
Always leave a card for the new owners on last clean.
If I'm there and the new owners aren't in I just clean.
At worst I've done a free clean.
Never had any issue with it so far.
