Title: I.D when canvassing

So tonight I was asked for I.D whilst out canvassing

The house owner listened to my waffling then said do you have any I.D please?

Anyone had anything strange like this?

Just show them your card?
Or have you got signwriten jumpers/t shirts...?
Ive knocked without both to be fair and not had a prob but it may help?

I had both on me and sign written jumper.

Just thought it was strange  :o

I wear a stripey jumper with my prison ID number stamped on the back.

I always carry my drivers licence with me, never been asked though, usually a card is enough.

Just show them the card/flyer, only ever been forced to pull out photo i.d once doing canvassing in 10 years.
