I placed my first ever order with gardiners a few months ago.
27ft clx with yellow hose and brush, the order came fast and the pole was a joy to work with! I was really impressed.
Since the cold weather has came my hose is almost impossible to work with, it gets snagged on almost anything.
It takes forever to extend the pole because i keep having to untangle the stiff hose.
You carnt reel it back up after finishing a job.
I have tried heating the hose on a morning but even that only lasts 20mins then ita stiff again.

agree, throw it away ......mine found the nearest bin within ten minutes of using it..........replaced with ugger hose that i had on ald pole
-
is that the old gardiners stuff ?
i had the same problem in the cold .
the new stuff thats on offer now is much better.

I bought a clx18 (1st gardiner pole) a couple of months ago, and the standard hose very nearly resulted in my jumping up and down, stamping my feet and swearing loudly!. Absolute rubbish, what is the point of putting that on the pole?. What made it even more awkward was the push fittings which meant i couldn't easily change to my usual pole hose >:(

The original gardiner yellow pole hose is rubbish.
I have just switched to the all season pole hose on my slx 25 and slx40 one of which was replaced free by them,it is much better no problems what so ever.
The old hose was stiff and seem to have a lot of memory.
The new hose is a major improvement.

Ahem Ahem, is this stuff actually any good then ? because I was going to include this stuff in my next order. I currently use streamline lite 5 because its seemingly unaffected by colder temperatures.
It is fairly heavy though, and due to recent shoulder injury I am looking at a cheap way to lessen the strain of using my smax 40 at heights above 25ft - removed all stop tape (marked the end stops of sections with a grout pen) going to add and remove sections accordingly like a modular and run hose outside.

I found it to be absolutely fine in the summer , it only caused me problems when it got colder.

I bought some of that hose.
To say I'm unimpressed is an understatement. I used it for about a day. It's now on a council tip somewhere.

That surprises me. It seems fine to me. Only had it a couple of weeks mind, but very happy so far.

New all season hose is great. But may not be for everybody. As long as i am happy, i dont care :D
-
Been using the new gardiners pole hose for the last few days - I use a backpack/trolley system and it's working out pretty good, 30m of hose is a nice length to use with a trolley. I like it.

Just click on the size pole you've bought in the last three months, then same again if you require any fittings.
