We just wanted to find out how we compare!
Thanks,
Anne and Vicky ;)

1 -5 but 1 of the five has made me a few £££ ;)

Ladies, you can't really compare unless you're doing the same as others with your marketing..............When I started my c/c, it evolved from an existing business, about 17 years ago......
I placed small ads in a local news paper and was amazed at the response, with around 5 jobs per week.

My cleaning business is just 6 weeks old now and i have 6 customers, 5 are regular weekely cleans and the other is a fortnightly clean, so not quite enough to keep my current week full but not bad considering it is so new!
Good luck with your new business Anne and Vicky, but I too feel that you cannot compare amounts of customers to other new starters in this business as there are many factors which will have an effect on how well you do at the beginning, maybe the area you live in, the price you charge, how much advertising/fliers you have done, marketing, etc etc.

i agree tracey,
it's not quantity at the start it's your quality that counts.
word of mouth is the best advertisment.
best of luck to all who venture into this cleaning industry, any fool can pick up a duster, but it's knowing how to use it that counts.

I started at the beginning of February. It is a part time job for me as I also work as a photographer at weekends! I now have:
3 x weekly 2 hours
1 x weekly 3 hours
3 x fortnightly 2.5 hours
1 x monthly 4 hours.
AAll these were generated by dropping just 50 leaflets! I am about to drop some leaflets for one off/occasional cleans that I can fit into my free days.

Many thanks to everyone who gave us their feedback. We now know that we are within the average and we're on the right track. Our marketing and advertising has consisted of a couple of ads in the local paper and a few leaflet drops. Panic over!!! thank you x
