Evening people, I will make this quick hopefully!
As most will know I have only been working what I call part-time on the windows (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday) and carried on my regular job on the other three days whilst trying to build the business up. Anyway I am going to make the jump to full time from April as I want to get my weekends and life back but obviously still need more work. I am happy to canvass and door knock etc but my question is when do I start in order to have the work in place for April? Do I just canvass all March to hit the ground running or canvass much earlier taking into consideration that I cannot carry out the work until April. Just hoping for a few pointers from the more experienced amongst you who may have faced this situation previously. P.S I am also open to making the jump earlier but thought April was a decent starting point.
Cheers in advance.
Paul.

Have a look at Mick Kent's posts, he knows a thing or two about it. IMO, I canvass every year at least twice now. I drop leaflets telling people we work 6 weekly and will be calling soon to ask if they're interested. Works very well for me. My next drop and knock will be in early March and I start the canvassed work ASAP so as not to lose any through other windies or loss of interest etc.
If you canvass March, you need to be getting the new work done withing days where possible. HTH

Cheers Cozy, advice very much appreciated. My plan was to canvass to build existing rounds then slot the work into that rota if that makes sense? We seem to pick plenty of work up when doing regular work so hopefully if we canvass and door knock the areas we may pick up a lot more. Fingers crossed!!!
