Happy new year everyone ;D
Last year i must have been on here about 1 hr a day 5mins here 10mins there.
Thats 7hrs a week 364 hrs a year :o :o
That time could be better spent building a bigger, better business, over the last week instead of spending loads of time on here i have managed to build a better website which should bring in more work.
Does anyone else feel the time spent on this forum is counter productive?

out of that 364 hours you must have learnt something, beside it being a waste of time ;D
even if only a small thing, for me the latest posts on "employing people" have been of interest as i may take a part timer on this year.
Sometimes its about narrowing down the people / posts so you don't waste time in petty debates and arguments, look for the good value posts

I,m on here waiting for my bath to run to not really wasting time ... more like killing it and putting it good use trying to improve my set up

Being on here has definitely made me more money than its cost me in time.
Some lads on here have me the confidence to price higher, sometimes much higher than I would've done.
I wouldn't have dreamed of binning a customer before logging on here, dumped a load since. That has given me more time to focus on the newer higher priced customers.
Didn't know about Gardiners either-always been a firm ionic user.
Or the L5.
Or Corwoods even!
And it's nice just to have a bit of banter sometimes. Don't get down the pub as much as I did before the kids.
Yes it's time spent that could be used elsewhere but, on balance, not wasted.

Most would be better off reading self/business improvement books. Far too many narrow minded individuals posting.

I don't have a tv so I tend to spend some free time in the evening on my laptop but I don't know how much time as my laptop logs me in as soon as it's turned on. I tend to only look at this forum when I want to. I couldn't just sit here waiting for topics to appear or just read stuff for the sake of reading it.
I learnt one thing tonight though, that there's a lot of narrow minded individuals (what else would they be other than 'individuals') who use this forum. I must try and learn this secret of knowing about people I've never met.
Another good book that's worth reading along with self/business improvement books is 'how to win friends and influence people'.
