I have my mains water (don't know pressure) going into RO and it takes about 1 hour to produce 100 litres of water.
Input TDS is about 200ppm and output is about 10ppm. Then through DI.
What difference would a booster pump make?
Am I correct in saying it would need mains electric supply?
Would it speed up water production?
Would it affect the TDS out?
Would it affect the longevity of the membranes in the RO?

yes you need electricity
wont effect TDS
not sure about membranes

in my experience it also brought the tds down , but there are lots of variables.
your water pressure now , the water pressure if you fit a pump etc .

Sounds like you have good pressure already but a pump should raise the output to at least 150 ltrs p/h pure. And should bring the TDS down to as low as 4
The better the pressure the more efficiently the membranes work

I'm not sure of the science behind it either to be honest. Just that your output Tds is always better with optimal psi.

Ive been using an outdoor booster pump for the last 2 months as the pressure in lower and TDS way way higher in our new house.
It brings the TDS out of the merlin now down to 2-3 tds going in @ 175ppm
The flow is speeded up X4. I wouldn't be without one now.
Just one thing to consider is it's 1.2kw to run so expect your leccy bill to be a bit higher.
Anglian pumps is by far the cheapest place to buy.

I currently only need to make about 1100litres of water a week, but with the Di i have it means some nights i have to leave it on.
What sortof price booster pump would i need? And what make?

It will increase the pressure of the water being forced through your RO. Membranes usually perform better under more pressure.

You are correct

Yes it would. Although a booster pump cannot increase the mains pressure, it will take the flow from mains and force it through at greater pressure
Would it affect the TDS out?
Yes, it will lower it to some degree making it reach optimum performance, this in turn will prolong the life of your resin which is very poor at present
Would it affect the longevity of the membranes in the RO?
Yes, considerably
