Title: Fao Daz and users of xtreme25
Post by: ben M on January 01, 2014, 01:06:21 pm
Do you really see a big difference between the slx25 and the xtreme25? worth the price?

Thanks and happy new year.

Ben

A big difference exists between the extreme 18 and slx 18.

25 is a dream to work with.

Yes big difference Ben.I use the extreme 25 for nearly all my work.

The smartclamps are fine.I don't understand all the fuss about them to be honest.

All this talk of Chinese poles etc etc.I'll be sticking with Gardiners.

I don't care how much they cost.I want the best, lightest poles on the market.

and like you said Daz, if you want quality, the best pole in the market and great customer service you need to pay the price, no secret  ;)
if you want to buy a price, do your shopping directly in China...

If you buy an extreme 25 say for £520 and it lasts you 3 years with a bit of tlc then it's only £170+ a year for the best pole on the market.

A pole that could make you £100;000+!

It's a no brainer for me.easier working day too. ;D

Happy days

Yes would not be without it, like new clamps also new nut seems to do the trick

The extreme range is all I use one 25 a 35 or two extra sections and a 47 for occasional use

Pulse a spare 25 that never really gets used

It's meant I'm 30% more productive within a day.

i do seem to have developed a habit of destroying the extreme brush within a month so trying out the those zero super lite brushes got a feeling there be a little too heavy for my knackered neck and shoulder down to 17 or so years wfp

I do here many good reports about the slx range too heavy for me are the extremes worth the price, for me I believe they are

They are great but be aware they are not as strong as the Slx. The sections can and do snap just under the top raised part of the pole ie 5 inches or so below the clamp. I've had 3 sections go in the exact same spot. Granted the last to go was on a well worn section. I took all this high modulous talk to mean strong but it doesn't.

Hi Ben although the price difference is big you are getting what you are paying for.  The xtreme is very noticeably lighter and more rigid.  IMO it will last longer as well due to the design.  I've been using it for over 2 1/2 years and wouldn't go back as the SLX compared to the xtreme feels like a glass fibre compared to a carbon fibre.  If you regularly clean at 25ft then it is a real benefit.  I'd also recommend the carbon gooseneck and xtreme brush.

Simon.
