I'm writing an article about car or van use.
Which do you use and why?
What are the pros and cons?
Is there a snobbery with van owners?
Are car users out of date?
Opinions please good bad and ugly!!!

Hey. Used a car for 24 years and over those years was sick of smelly cloths etc etc. went water fed nearly 5 years ago with a 650 ltr tank so a car was not an option. But wouldn't go back to a car, if I needed to get another vehicle I would use another van even if I wasn't wfp. You can just shove the kit in the back close the doors have racks etc much more worker friendly. Just my opinion!

I started with an escort estate. Did it's job nicely but didn't present the professional look we were after.
Next was escort vans. Rarely lasted more than a year.
Had a couple of old merc vans. Meh, vans are dull.
Next up was Series 3 Land Rovers. Tougher than old boots, instantly recognisable, easily fixable, seriously uncomfortable.
Finally settled with 110 Defenders. Unparalleled.

Dont forget trucks Darren which IMHO are far better to handle with weight in back and are really built to carry the weight with out compromising to much on fuel consumption.
I get about 30-33 mpg fully laden with over 500 kg , I also have 5 seats well 4 to be honest as hose reel is on rear seat . Mike
